The workspace structure inherited from the template can not be adjusted in the subscribed workspace. However, extensions to the subscribed workspace, e.g., adding a new type element to the systems engineering model or creating a new use case in an overview, are still possible.
When a subscribed workspace deviates too much from the template, it can be more efficient to end the subscription to the template. The structure of workspaces with ended subscriptions remains unchanged and the power users of these workspaces now have complete control over it.
Recognize the origin of model structures in a subscribed workspace
Although most of the model objects will be inherited from the template and are not editable in the project workspace, the subscribed workspace can have its own additions. In the type graph view, the model objects that are added outside of the template are recognizable by a star icon behind their name.
Note:
- In the overview, detail view, and reports there is no visual feature that indicates whether an item is from the template or not.
End the subscription of a workspace*
- In the overview with workspaces, click on Environment administration.
- In the view Environment administration, click on the menu Workspaces.
- Click on the workspace.
- Click on the button End template subscription. A dialog will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to end the subscription to the template.
Note:
- Ending the subscription to a template is final. It is not possible to resubscribe.
* In the environment, the administration role of your user must be set to administrator to enable this feature.
