Not all accessible information in a workspace is always relevant to every user. If you barely access certain type elements, hiding them might increase productivity. To achieve this, the hide functionality can be used. This functionality is available to all users and allows them to hide information, for instance, if it’s irrelevant to their project role.
Any user can hide the following parts of their workspace:
- Type elements in the type list.
- Use cases.
Notes:
- Type elements in the graph view are always visible, even when hidden in the type list.
- If a role has no access permissions for any model object, it will automatically be hidden from the users with that role. If a role does not have access to model objects present in views, then all views that contain the inaccessible model object will be hidden automatically. Views containing model objects with no access permissions cannot be unhidden.
Hide type elements
- In the type list, hover the cursor over the type element that should be hidden.
- On the highlighted type element, click Open menu.
- In the dropdown menu, click Hide.
Notes:
- Hidden type elements can be found at the bottom of the type list.
- To unhide type elements, follow the same steps as to hide a type element, but click Unhide.
Hide use cases
- Select the use case that should be hidden.
- In the selected use case tab, click Open menu.
- In the dropdown menu, click Hide.
Notes:
- Hidden use cases can be found in the hidden use case tab, indicated by and the number of hidden use cases between brackets.
- Select the hidden use case tab and press Unhide to unhide a use case.
