The Relatics Search feature helps you find what you need quickly. This can be either a specific element you have in mind (e.g., task ABC) or one or more elements that match your search criteria (e.g., all requirements that contain ‘could be’).
Search and narrow down your elements
- Click the Search… field in the top bar of the workspace.
- Enter a search term. This will open the search window showing the results.
- Optionally, further refine the search results by using the results menu on the right side of the search window.
- Optionally, click on
Press enter to open the search results in a new pane.
- Click the element that matches the desired search result. The details view of the element will be opened.
Search tips
- Search can be useful to edit a number of elements that have a common value. If the search results are opened in the new pane described in step 4, they can be altered one by one.
- Use the search feature to quickly navigate to the details of a specific element by using its ID. For example, if you’re looking for requirement 13 and the short name for requirements is ‘req’, you could type req-13 in the search field matching the ID.
- If you know that a search result must be in a specific type element, use the menu on the right side of the search window to further narrow down the search results. After selecting a type element in the menu, a range of options to refine the results is given.
- Alternatively, for dedicated table searches, use the
Find feature to search within a use case or the
My view.
