Support recurring activities with use cases

A use case helps to get answers to support a dedicated recurring process. Use cases can be made available for a type element on the overview and the detail view.

Work with a use case

A use case has been prepared in advance to support you with a typical process that needs your attention occasionally. In a use case, you can apply filters and sorting just as in any other table to find or handle information. When you have made changes to the use case (e.g. apply a filter or sorting) and you want to revert to the original use case, you can click on Reset.

If the use case is missing a column that you need or if the use case does not address a relevant process, please contact your power user to update the use case.

Note:

  • Use cases can be manually hidden by users or automatically hidden for users.

Create a use case*

  1. In the overview next to  My view or the detail view next to all details, click on  Open menu.
  2. In the menu, click on  New usecase.
  3. In the use case tab, update the name and click outside the use case tab to save the name.
  4. In the use case, click on  Model selector.
  5. In the model selector, select a property by ticking a checkbox . Use unfold  to navigate to a property of an inner element or related element.
  6. Hover the mouse over the use case and click on the menu . Click on Publish. In the dialog Update view click on OK to save the changes. After saving the use case the update becomes available for all users.
