Changes in the Relatics software that affect the output of a report result in an increment of the syntax version. The old syntax version is marked as deprecated (marked by ) for a certain period of time, allowing the power user to modify the report to the new syntax version. A report based on a deprecated syntax version can still be generated using the old behavior until it is no longer supported, after which it will be marked by
.
Update your report to the latest syntax version
If a syntax version is marked as deprecated or is no longer supported, you must update your report to be able to generate new reports in the future.
To update the report, in the dialog Edit report, in the field Syntax version, select the highest version. Then, follow the power user instructions from the column Current syntax version in the table below and work your way up to the latest version.

Go through the template and check if the iterators that have a FILTER() still produce the desired result. Where the result has changed in an undesired way, repeat the filter in the parent iterator. Make sure that the filter uses the correct nested path of the inserter.
For reports using the hide when empty feature, make sure they use both the prefix [?] and postfix [.?] when indicating what text to hide/skip. |
