Two factor authentication (TFA)

To improve the security of your data, a new two-factor authentication (TFA) layer has been added to Relatics. This easy-to-use account security ensure that you are the only person who can access your account, even if someone knows your password. Using this extra layer not only requires something you know (your password), but also something you have (e.g. your phone). This makes accounts much stronger and better protected.

While in most systems, a user account is protected by a password only (one factor), in Relatics, you can use your smartphone as an extra protection (second factor). This is called two-factor authentication or TFA in short. When you access your account, Relatics asks for an authentication code additional to your password. Each time, a new authentication code is provided via your personal smartphone. Thus without your smartphone, a hacker cannot get into your account.
