Features in development

Relatics is constantly innovating and improving its software. Based on customer feedback and our own talent to see opportunities no one has seen before, we create software that dramatically changes information management. We have many ideas, but some are ready to be picked up. Below, you see our challenges that we are currently working on. They will be analyzed, understood and eventually translated into brand new features. We expect that those features will see the light within six months. Features in development are subject to change.

Datatypes for property values

To increase data integrity, Relatics will be provided with additional datatypes. Next to String, GPS, Date and Time, we will now support the Decimal and Integer as well. Apart from integrity, these datatypes will facilitate data entry as well. Depending on its type, users are supported to prevent wrong input.

Two factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA) is a method of confirming a user’s claimed identity by utilizing a combination of two different components. It adds an extra layer of security for your Relatics account to ensure that you’re the only person who can access your account.

Single Sign On (SSO)

Besides the use of Relatics, organizations are using more and more Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. As the number of SaaS applications grows, it becomes challenging for the administrators to manage accounts and for the users to remember their different passwords. Managing these applications individually creates extra work and is less secure. A solution for all of these challenges is single sign-on (SSO). It's the simplest way to manage multiple applications and provide users with a consistent sign-on experience.

Restore

The browse history feature fulfills in many cases the need to restore deleted data. However, restoring large break down structures (SBS, WBS) are more difficult.  This feature will allow you to restore deleted elements together with its properties, relations and underlying create-network.

Reports based on word templates

This feature enriches the report engine to use Word documents as a template for a report. This will not only simplify the design process, but also enrich the number of report features (e.g. native TOC, table captions). 

Using filters on derived fields

In this feature we will offer the possibility to filter on columns that are based on derived fields. We will focus on derived fields that are rather straightforward and based on a relatively simple calculation.

Feedback of query quality

The Express Editor offers endless possibilities to retrieve data. However, some queries can be configured inefficient or might give ambiguous results due to its settings. More feedback about the quality of the query will be given to functional designers.

Aggregate information across multiple workspaces

Workspaces often correspond with real life projects. From a managerial perspective, information needs to be collected from all those workspaces. Think about the most import risks in all projects. With this feature, one query-definition will be sufficient to query multiple workspaces.

Improved support for configuration and asset management

Managing catalog parts and assets require flexibility to define properties and their data types for each item. This requires end users to create class information which subsequently will be instantiated by other end users for individual assets. This opens the ability to align with initiatives like COINS.

Relatics model view

Relatics will be enriched with the ability to create a graphical presentation of your class model. Users will understand the information structure more quickly.

Uploading files by drag and drop

Instead of selecting files to be uploaded, users will be offered to drop their files on the reference attribute.
